Found it at last
These are the moments you’ve been waiting for your whole life. The way a girlfriend blows smoke rings across the room. Another girlfriend talks sweetly with a boy with pretty hair, his hat borrowed by your boyfriend. Erykah Badu in the background, the colours so sweet and the atmosphere fogged with smiles of relaxation. Tonight we spent way too much money on alcohol between us. We’re making punch with Bucks Fizz, rum cocktails and enjoying the essence of one another’s company. Something I’ve been looking for in so many ways, for so many years.
