i will be making a print order in the next few days, so if there’s anything you want, feel free to browse this journal, the portfolio or the shop.
in light of me just losing my job and having no way to pay my rent/eat now/sustain my ever-so-valuable life, i’d really appreciate you buying a print (or even making a donation!)
all enquiries - contact me (or direct e-mail to d at funnytimeofyear dot com).
(please?)
Tonight the sky shimmers purple as you walk home, past the sea and the kite flyer that stood alone on the stony beach. You walk down to the shore with hopes of finding solace in a world dripping in chaos, your feet crushing the rocks that lie beneath me. The breeze is strong and your skin rises in goose bumps, your vest the only thing to cover your thinning body. You stand staring into the sea, as you often do – these sinking desires of floating away once again drifting into your mind. You imagine yourself diving into the murky waters, the same way you did in the serenity of the lake. You scan along the beach for other dreamers but the shore is clear, devoid of human company. You stare out for what feels like an hour, your body weak and frail against the harsh winds of nature.
You flutter from day to day, but on this day, your heart broke all over again.
Back from Köln. I can safely say that the last week has been perhaps one of the best I have ever experienced. So many good experiences, fabulous times, wonderful people (that includes you, Micha). More photos to come.. for now it’s time to start the recovery from hedonism.
