It usually happens when I’m quite hungover, wobbling along the streets in my mildy irritable state, half-asleep and craving bacon. The last few times I’ve been encountered by giant flamingos, improvised theatre performances, a children’s parade, 15ft tall mummies.. And today? Carnival Collective’s Samba Day. Of course, this is all a part of this year’s Brighton Festival and although slightly irritating when all I want is to see my bed, these crazy out-of-the-blue shows actually act as a rather welcome hangover cure. Distraction is the way forward!
Had a lovely trip to the hospital today as B. Boy broke out in a rather nasty rash. Thought it might be shingles but luckily it just seems to be an allergic reaction to something (although we have no idea what it is.) Felt strange sitting in that emergency room.. last time I was there things were slightly different, and I was the patient.
Tonight Foxxxy (my alter-ego) is out in full action! Taking some photos for a local club night, Wild Fruit. Ah, guestlist, I welcome you with open arms…
Three more days until the end of uni! Phew.
