Martha Wainwright

Martha Wainwright‘s gig was really soft, pretty much like her and all of her music. It seemed like a real intimate affair and I was really stunned by how much she wears her heart on her sleeve with such intense, introspective lyrics.. I wondered if people think that about me and my photography. Sometimes she seemed so vulnerable and I guess that can be dangerous.. for me, it simply inspired me to open my heart more and share my expression with the world..

These lyrics in particular from the song “Don’t Forget” just really sum up how I feel lately. About B. Boy, of course. Whilst he’s gone from my life, I still very much care about him. I can’t just let go, and I really send him the warmest wishes in whatever he is doing, and wherever he goes in life. I care for him deeply.

Don’t forget that I will always love you
Just a reminder to help you pave your pathway

and

But in my silly mind I’ve gotten married to you
You’re across town, don’t even have a clue
Or these images that in ten years
I’ll run into you & fall right back inside of you

I’ve been reading what you’be been writing for one year now. Each week. Most photographs bare this odd, intense and intimate touch. I’ve developped this clickah-see-think routine and I’ve barely ever left any comments. Every now and then I’m left with this amazement to how open you are and how stronger you grow with this. All of this.

It’s beautiful.
