Last night the sky cracked open just like I thought my mind might. From the tiny port hole window of Revenge I saw the sky light up, the dry pavement below anticipating the rains that were to come. We walked home along the seafront, jeans turned up and the sky hurling cool rain on our heads. It was such a relief just to feel my body reach a normal temperature that didn’t include sweat dripping from my brow. Alone, I sat at my bay window in the dark, simply listening to the roars of thunder, the rain slamming the ground and felt a much needed coolness wash over me. There are things beginning to seep into my mind on this day in July…
