Suki Sou: One of the most beautiful girls I ever met.
Meet J. A new friend I made. So pretty, ay?
Oh oh, I forgot about my annual summary of 2006. To be honest it wasn’t that special, and plus I stopped writing about anything so chances are that no one will know what happened in my life. Anyway!
Good Things That Happened This Year
- January - Breaking into mental asylums to take beautiful photos, sunset walks with old friends, feeling confident about shooting fashion.
- February - looking hot on my birthday invitation, freezing my ass off in Sainsburys dressed like a tribesman (not fun at the time), seeing José González for my birthday with Mills (and photographing him), meeting up with B. Boy 3 months after we’d broken up, my birthday party whereby I looked incredibly silly.
- March - Lunch at the Troubadour with Evs, then Evs visiting (so so so beautiful this girl is!), fluffy red mohawks, a wet dream (!).
- April - The beautiful Rowena visiting, kinky fancy dress nights (including the infamous Foxxxy), Clown’s day out (which cheered me up when I saw it after a horrible day), the most perfect moment with Evs on a london rooftop, flowers from an old friend (April clearly wasn’t a good month), Leonidas visiting!!
- May - That night after VICE! Finishing university. Forever. Went to Portugal with Evs (funny photo here) - perfection! Went on a DATE which obviously went well. Now that too was perfection, wore blue contacts for a month.
- June - Fashion show (girls with eyes closed), turning into a lovebug, the beginning of what became summer adventures with Kt, becoming more familiar with the studio, graduating, taking the most beautiful & scary photo of Kt ever, showering with Hilton (muscle man!), having a lot of sex.
- July - Europride, the night I took his virginity! Bwaha. Getting my stomach pierced, summery graveyard picnics that turned into fashion shoots, being a ballerina, shooting at the cement works (photos here, here, here, & many more), debauchery at VICE! & Sirens (fruit licking off a lady here!), beginning to think I’m dating a model.
- August - Spending time at casa del Hilton (walking the dog and a whole lot of sizzling sex), sexy space twins, summer afternoons making Pride outfits (I Heart You), being two beautiful boys.
- September - Getting surprising gifts, being so very much in love, watching the rains pour down West Street. Having an amazing time photographing at Torture Garden. Think I spent most of this month in a love drunk stupor.
- October - Discovering films from my trip to Germany a year previous, graveyard walking at Evs’ new London pad, an ever so excitable Terri Walker gig, Torture Garden’s halloween party which saw me running around half naked for most of the night (ahem). Lady Sovereign’s album!
- November - Romantic tapas meals with H, rollin’ around London with Evs, going home to visit my unwell Mama, Doug buying me a brand new speedlite (I will never be able to thank you enough D!), getting jizz all over my face (sorry people!).
- December - Beautiful eyes, Snorting Glamour (drunken), scaring a lot of people with this photo (sorry mama!), Torture Garden’s christmas ball.
On second thoughts, perhaps there were a lot of beautiful moments in 2006. I learnt a lot, shot quite a lot of photographs (my camera says I’ve taken over 100,000 photos - serious?) and I spent the most amazing summer with people I’ve searched for my whole life. I distanced myself from B. Boy (much needed) and in turn met the most wonderful boy that is just the kind of person that I wanted, needed, and deserved. Of course he’s got flaws, but at least he ain’t a psycho and he treats me deliciously. Ok ok, I’ll stop bragging now!
Bad Things That Happened This Year
Pretentious boys, being very poor, no more student loans, getting a full time job that I dislike, not doing what I want in life, not moving to London, pulling a mento on Ouzo, finishing uni & losing friends, having short hair, people trying to take advantage of my photographic skills, not having enough holidays. Stop!
A selection of my favourites from Torture Garden’s Christmas ball (December 9th).
Woke up yesterday thinking I had broken my foot. Intense, agonising pain! After a little hospital visit (much to my embarrassment of forgetting to take my nail polish off) and an x-ray, it’s not broken, just very bruised.
Taken at Torture Garden. More to come.
