Rome
Rome was undeniably beautiful. It’s such a beautiful city steeped in history and the most amazing architecture. I think I spent most of my time staring up at church ceilings, giving myself a sore neck. Unfortunately both Hilton and I picked up rather nasty colds that left me quite grumpy at times, given that all that walking with a headache wasn’t that pleasurable. That said, I did have a wonderful time with him and we were fortunately blessed with mostly good weather, and shared many a little kiss and cuddle (I imagine much to the disgust of Catholicism!) Here’s a photo taken inside the Vatican (of course there will be many many more to come, when I have the energy to sit at the computer):

hehe, good for you matey, good for you! Show those priests how it’s done, like as if they don’t already know!!
Do you know, I am actually putting forward a new proposal that Jesus was a gay man, persecuted for his sexuality. Think about it. He knew he was different from the accepted ‘norm’ the moment that he was born. The guy never had a girlfriend in his life, but surrounded himself with 12 young men including one very ’special’ friend, Peter. He enjoyed ‘laying his hands’ (ahem!) upon men to ‘heal’ them. He was heart-broken when Peter denid that he knew and loved Jesus when the cock crowed! He was always kind to women, unlike nearly every man in those days who would just beat and rape and want to control all women. He preached non-violence even if punched in the face, maybe because he was one of the less macho breed of gay. And last but not least, he was clearly a pretty intelligent guy for his times, with all his speeches and radical ideas, and I’ve yet to come across a straight one of them.
He was crusified for being gay - duh! Is it any surprise, then, that he spawns a religion where its main leaders are all men in skirts hidden away out of public view, women are kept far away and relationships with them forbidden, and its ceilings and walls are painted with naked men?

Oh, and I just found this interesting passage from Mark’s gospel (chapter 10):
“And the youth, looking upon him (Jesus), loved him and beseeched that he might remain with him. And going out of the tomb, they went into the house of the youth, for he was rich. And after six days, Jesus instructed him and, at evening, the youth came to him wearing a linen cloth over his naked body. And he remained with him that night, for Jesus taught him the mystery of the Kingdom of God”.
.. Oh yeah! I hope you gave Hilton a good old fashioned teaching on the mystery of god’s kingdom!
