Mmmm, today was such a nice day. I finally had a really good, solid sleep. I think I may have a spot of tonsillitis, but I am hoping it’ll go away (I’ve given up on asking for them to be removed). It’s been so sunny the last few days, it’s felt like an entirely different world. I had a very nice, low-key weekend. It was Pi Day on Saturday (March 14th/3.14), so a few of the gang and I decided to cook a pie (cliché, chicken, vegetable and creamy), watch Pi, and then endure hours of eating and playing Little Big Planet. Oh yes, Gemma also knitted a special cat ears hat for me in red and blue. KT has a matching one (in reverse colours). It’s now my favourite hat, although it does garner a few looks in the street..

Spent Sunday scouting the internet for something to do, before driving off into the sun and arriving at an animal farm. I pretty much love animals, but goats win hands down, especially baby goats (or goatlets, as I like to call them). SHOCK HORROR, they actually had baby goats! We were so tempted to steal one away but then realised it would grow into a Papa Goat and neither of us were really sure about that, so we left the little dancing, hopping creatures behind. Also played in the adventure playground, probably much to the disgust of the other adults who seemed confused as to whether we were just really weird adults, or if Roger was our care worker. Either way, we still got some strange looks. Oh yes, Roger tried to let a cow lick my hand, but I was having none of that. I love animal farms. Who says they’re just for kids? Oh yes, and turkeys.. not acceptable creatures. I think they are the ugliest looking things I have ever seen.

Also saw the largest rabbit I have ever seen in my life, which, quite frankly, I found a bit scary..

Then went off for a mini drive and found a nice country pub with a garden and pond. Had a rather lovely glass of wine as the sun slowly set and life felt… blissful…? Also went on a bit of a skip-diving jaunt, which was unsuccessful. However, we did find this skip full of the most beautiful shavings of metal! As well as the sleeping swan, in the middle of the road (previously posted).
