There’s this café that Kt and I keep going to in the mornings for breakfast. It does the best home made hash browns I’ve ever had. Anyway, we met this morning for photo ideas and attempted to hit the shops to find clothes that we needed. I’m super excited as I have a new housemate who is Queen Explorer, so this summer is going to be like 2006 – The Summer of Adventures! So expect lots of nice dereliction from all over the place. It’s going to be ace! She’s super nice and just my kind o’ gal. Little bit of nerd mixed with crazy exhibitionist. It’s been so warm again, strolling around in a thin cotton shirt felt very good on the skin. I want to get my hair done, similar to something like this, but it’s not long enough yet! Argh…

My daffodils that I only bought yesterday as buds completely opened up over night, and once they got a blast of the morning sun. They’re sitting perched on my desk, next to some colourful fruit and it all feels sickeningly like spring already! I have a real good feeling about spring and summer!

We just watched Trantasia, an interesting documentary featuring six of the contestants competing for The World’s Most Beautiful Transsexual Pageant. It was quite intiguing, although I found the reasons that some of the people became women a little confusing. It seemed to follow a lot of people that wanted to become a woman so that they could become an entertainer. For that, I expected to see a lot more drag queens, as opposed to transexuals. I would have expected to have seen transexuals as people that felt that something wasn’t right from when they were a child, that they were born the wrong sex. One contestant even says (and I’m paraphrasing) “I became a transexual because I wanted to be an entertainer, I thought this is how I’d get famous.” Very odd way of doing it! Anyway, it’s a great documentary (if you’re into that kind of thing) – some of them look amazing, others… not so. Mimi Marks won! She’s a pretty hot tranny.
