I have spent most of the day in prime geekatron mode, fixing computers etc. Rooks spilt water on her crummy old laptop last night before work and it started making crazy noises. She caved in and decided to go get a new one so spent the day jazzing it up, doing data transfers, installing software (ahem) and making it all spangly. Lack of sleep meant that I was a fraction as productive as yesterday, hence having a spongy moment in bed with the girls watching Bride Wars (shock, horror, I know). Rooks set up her pole in the garage (after a bit of shifting crap around) and then gave KT & I a pole dancing lesson. Now that it’s in there I have no problem with sneaking off to uhm, “do stuff”, whilst secretly practising my moves! I have quite strong thighs and good upper-arm strength, but it’s really not as easy as you think it’s going to be. You watch someone doing it and you think, oh easy, then when you try to translate the moves into your own… you fail. Still, practice makes perfect, right?
There’s so much going on in the next few weeks, months! I kind of want to write about it here but some of it seems too personal (or maybe just too fresh), so I am avoiding it for a while. Simply put: there’s a lot of change going on. I feel so completely different lately, really.. happy. I’m being so productive, creative, that it makes me feel less worried. I know it’s sounds odd but if I am not creating or even thinking creatively, I really start to feel trapped, detained, confused! Oh the life of an artist. Anyway, lots of good things going on. Every weekend seems booked up and it feels great to look into my diary and see, I am doing stuff.
This image is a part of a project that KT & I are working on (and still getting to grips with).
