West Pier sunset
It’s my birthday in ten days. I’m turning into a little whore, so you if you want to buy me presents at all, you could always check out my Amazon wishlist. Ahem.
The past few weeks back here have passed so quickly that I’ve only just realised that not only have I spent a great deal of the money that was supposed to last me, but I’ve also done nothing in terms of producing work for my new project at university. I’m completely at a loss here seeing as the project is titled Image and Text, and in general I’m not not too keen on placing text alongside (or on, for that matter) my photographs. Help!
I’ve been in the company of Mari for the past couple of days who has been reassuring me that the confusion in my head will pass and eventually sort itself out. I’ve been bottling up so much haze in my head again which has built up and needs to be diffused. I could liken these thoughts to a bad odour that needs a little freshening up. Perhaps some spring cleaning is in order? I’ve been taking a great deal of photographs lately, just around town and the places I find myself in. Nights out with the girls, wandering the streets, spontaneous photographs of light and colour. Our walk along The South Downs on Saturday was so incredibly refreshing. The quality of the air was that it felt so pure. We were so high up, looking over snakes for rivers and dots that became sheep with a zoom lens. The sun was on our faces but the cold winds chilled my hands and we watched a dog climb up a steep hill, determination in action. Although I’ve experienced a little of what the city is like in this area, I’m really intrigued as to what lies around the core of this location. I want to explore the different suburbs and places surrounding here.
A small range of prints are now available in the print shop. If there’s a print that you’ve seen but isn’t in the print shop, just ask and anything can be arranged.

They’re not nearly the quality of yours, but I took a few photos when I was in Brighton last February as well. The pier has such a haunting, dilapidated beauty:
