I am really into photographing bleak interiors lately. This is one of my favourites of late. I think it’s the reflection of the window frame in the background..

Ah, even my Golliwogs enjoy a good adventure! Some could say I have a slight Golliwog obsession.. I now own six of them (one happens to be 3ft tall!), as well as shoelaces that say “I LOVE GOLLY” on them, and a cute little golliwog brooch (thanks KT). Anyway, so it’s now customary to take one of the little gems with on us when we’re shooting.. Look at how Black Booty (as I like to call him) just blends into the scenery…

And here’s one of them all together in what I call Golly Corner on my bed. Golly Goliath (the 3ft one) is wearing a little Hello Kitty dress. Bless him.

I’ve just finished preparing some yummy lime & wasabi salmon fillets (a la this recipe). Lauren & Spencer are coming over for dinner, then some other ladies are heading over to have a bonfire on the beach. I have never lit a fire before so I hope that logs and firelighters are the only requirements. Still, I have rum. But I’m not willing to pour that on the fire, obviously. It’s strictly to warm my cockles as they say.
So! Let the fire begin. Oh yeah, have a good Bonfire night (link for all the non-English people reading)!

We had a picnic in this beautiful delapidated barn on Saturday afternoon in the sun, on an RAF runway strip. Good times.

I had a rather awful morning which had me sitting on the phone for hours to various people, as well as whining to my mother and sitting around in the bank waiting anxiously. So when I remembered that there was lots happening this weekend in Brighton, it perked me up to know that Evs would be joining me. To celebrate the clocks going back there are some interesting events going on throughout the night, so if you’re in Brighton check it out: White Night. These are right up my street:
The selling point for most of these things is that not only are most of them free, but they’re on ’til 7am. Which is great for me, considering what a night owl I am. Yippy! Unfortunately the sewer tour was sold out! Now the only problem is that it’s Tuesday and these interesting and fun things aren’t happening until Saturday. D’oh!
